Marissa is a pet photographer based in Downtown Los Angeles who has been active in the humane treatment of animals for more than seven years. She has committed the rest of her life to continue helping furry creatures find the loving homes they deserve through the power of photography.

She loves Ella Fitzgerald, bread, beer, and is suspect of humans who don't like dogs, or the artist Prince. Marissa grew up in the Bay Area, but now calls DTLA her home. You will often find her roaming the city streets, taking pictures of mammals, or eating tacos. Of course, not necessarily in that order.

One of the main reasons I love and choose to photograph dogs, is what you see is what you get. No makeup, no ego, no consciousness- they just are.

And thats why I think we as humans love them so much :)
