HELLLLLLLO SUMMER BABIES!!!
Summer in LA- shit is RUF!
Hopefully you and your furry babies are staying cool and away from the hot ass pavement!
Meeeeeee, well I've been with lots of doggies this summer in my new South Park hood- strutting around while playing around with my lil chihuahua ratlings on the mean streets of DTLA :)
I'm also in the beginning stages of designing & creating Dawgs of Downtown LA II !!!!!
This book and product project will include Downtown's favorite mutts along side DTLA as a backdrop, as well as neighborhood human homies and hopefully some classic cars, motos, mopeds, bicycles, wagons- whatever...
So what I need from YOU, Is your cute ass mutt ( and you, if you're interested) and one of the vintage/classic modes of transportation I mentioned above.
If you you are familiar with the first Dawgs of Downtown LA, you may have notice I dig the whole black & white style so want to keep that going but integrate more humans and old timey wheels!
So if you would like your fur baby in the next book looking suave in DTLA- lets create some art!
Shoot me a message and we can go from there!
PS: This is a passion project, so I have no budget/monies- but will gladly give you a nice discount when the book n stuff come out :) Thanks for le support!
Happy Early Summer :)
This past weekend I hung out with some doggies that are in medical isolation at the South LA Animal Shelter. Doggies in medical, usually have a minor physical injury or condition, or skin issues that can be easily dealt with under the proper care.
The shelter is way over populated this year and unfortunately as the weeks get hotter, the shelter becomes more crowded and more dogs are euthanized due to space.
The medical dogs are sometimes the first to get put to sleep, since they sometimes get sicker, and the shelter environment works against them in their rehabilitation. It's not the shelters fault, it's politics, money, time- all that bullshit that comes with bureaucracy and over populated systems. Life just isn't fair sometimes..But we humans can try our best to help them!
All these dogs are currently at:
If interested in more info on any of these dogs, please have impound number ready!
I am just a volunteer and met these dogs once, so for more thorough information, please call or visit!
Did you know that each year, 1.2 million dogs are euthanized, approximately 40% of whom are Pit Bulls. This means that nearly half a million Pit Bull-type dogs are killed in shelters annually.
fukin sad huh? I know.
I think it really narrows down to education- and affordable spay neuter programs all over the earth.
Step by step..
Owning and living your life with a pitbull is no walk in the park- there is a lot of tugging, training, establishing who is boss, exercising, disciplining and then the affection.
Pitbulls are magical misunderstood creatures who do well with structure, leadership and balance.
“If you give only 80 percent leadership, your dog will give you 80 percent following. And the other 20 percent of the time he will run the show. If you give your dog any opportunity for him to lead you, he will take it.”

Below is a link to the majority of big dogs which are pitbulls that are at South LA Animal Shelter and are in desperate need to get the funk out of the system! A lot of these dogs may be red alerted (death row) soon! Been at the over populated shelter and are under exercised and need to get out ASAP!!! Adopt or Rescue!!!
Please share this album and photos to network these babies!
I'm just a volunteer! Intake info in descriptions and comments.
For more info please call or visit with impound number on photo.

There are millions of “pit bull” dog owners across the United States who live peaceful, every day lives with their family pets. Families like these are the rule, not the exception. We are valued members of our communities and families. We are your co-workers, neighbors, and friends.

Sup my mammalzzzzzzz
Hi! Here we are--2017!!! Things are happening- the good, the bad and the ugly :)
Personally, I feel like a witness, an observer, another human just trying to get a nut! meoow
We are about to enter the year of the rooster, according to Chinese New Year:
The Year of the Rooster will be a powerful one, with no middle of the road when it comes to moving forward. This year, impressions count. You’ll want to look your best and be clear on your intentions concerning love, money, and business. Stick to practical and well-proven paths to ensure success, rather than risky ventures.
Remember: In a Rooster Year, all of the Chinese animals can reap great rewards by tapping into Rooster traits. Loyalty, commitment, hard work, family values, and top-notch appearances are just some of the characteristics that will be rewarded this year.
So for me and my world, I plan to move forward of course and take the dawgies with me!
With the accomplishment of the Kickstarter I did for, Dawgs of Downtown LA, I intend on taking that project to the next level! I would love to score a publishing deal for that photo book and partner with a publishing/distribution firm that can help me recreate the book and layout and sell to the general public at a more affordable price! So if you know anyone who hustles books- holllllller ata playa!
I am also going to start to layout the second version of the book, Dawgs of Downtown LA II, this year and see where that takes me... :) That project will include more street folks with their dawgs, the revitalization of downtown la, and maybe some more dolls..hahahah. who knows!
I also plan to learn some graphic design this year and create some really cool stuff with my photos and some sexy graphics! The journey continues....
As far as volunteering! I have already been to South LA Shelter twice this year and can't wait to go back! SO many awesome dawgies and kitties that need some exposure and some TLC. I love love photographing them and networking them in hopes they can get the eff out of that prison system! It's also great to volunteer with like minded humans who are all on the same page--clear the shelter!
So here we are almost the end of January. Going forward. Living in the moment. Not focusing on the negative shit or people in the past and just being fukin kind and loving towards others and most important ourselves.
Keep it G my mammalz!
I officially launched my kickstarter for "Dawgs of Downtown LA" le photo book!
Feelin confident and sexy about this campaign and already lovin all the support I'm receiving!
My goal is to raise $10,000 breads in 23 days! With this dinero I can do a mass printing and get the book down to a reasonable price to share with all the homies~ Yay!
I also have a bunch of cool rewards to offer as well goals to create more fun doggy related stuff for the future!
So please help me achieve my goal and give me a lil something something to help spread the love!
alo! been a minute. spring and summer passed-now, here we are in the early stages of fall, but not really cuz were in la and its always kinda sunny :)
2016 like any year, has had its up and downs. I have been busy with dog walking in the hood and Billie has been busy eating nacho toppings off the ground and making new friends around the block. Since I've been busy with walking to pay them bills, I haven't had much time to focus on the step phase of "dawgs of dtla" and what and how I want to sell and market the book and the merchandise that comes with it. But now I feel something coming on..un kickstarter!
In the next month or so I'm going to launch a kickstarter to promote and raise funds for the printing of the black and white photo book, "dawgs of dtla". My goal is to get the book out to purchase by the holidays and also to build some buzz so that I can eventually get a publishing deal and continue with the series.."dawgs of dtla II", & "dawgs of dtla III". Stay tuned for more dates and details..
Hope all you mammals are spreading love and saving lives out there in this crazy ass world!
Hello. It's been a cool minute since I "blogged"
Things have been good. Busy walking bitches in the hood and just livin enjoying the awesome mammals i co-exist with erreday. cant complain- mucho gratitude!
In the last few months I have been working on some passion projects like creating some photo books of dawgs in downtown la, and also humans in downtown la. I live in such a unique part of the country, let alone the world- it's kinda hard not to document it and then stare at the photos later and reflect. At least thats what I do and think maybe other humans like to do that as well :)
I'm having a lil art show thingy next Thursday in dtla, during art walk. I will have my books for sale, as well as some tshirts and greeting cards.
Again, I am so grateful to able to share my journey with all the mammals I have encountered in downtown the last five years and I hope you can find some humor and weirdness in the photos too. real life ey.
Hope to see ya'll fine asses next Thursday! If not, you can check out my products tab and buy away and check back in a couple weeks when I add more stuff on there!
This past Sunday I had the opportunity to attend a reading event that was produced by, Trendy Little Sweethearts(TLS), Watts Project, and the volunteers at South LA Animal Shelter.
The premise of the event was to invite children of all ages accompanied by their parents, to read their favorite books to the doggies at South LA Shelter who are homeless and looking for their forever homes. This was the first time we did this event- and it was great!
We hope to do more of these events again at South LA shelter, as well as other shelters in the LA area. This was great for the children, who were able to socialize and give these doggies some love and attention and visa versa. These doggies are unfortunately kenneled up all day with not much human interaction so you can tell they really did enjoy the time they got with the children and their parents.
Most importantly events like this teach children from a young age about dogs at the shelter and how cool it is to adopt and how shopping for dogs is not cool :)
There are HUNDREDS of all types of puppies to senior doggies at shelter all over LA. Really no reason to be buying a puppy from a puppy mill at this day in age. Teach em young and spread the gospel!
Please visit TSL to check out their monthly kids walking the dog outfits. A portion of the proceeds will go to a special item to the South LA doggies.
Earlier this year, and yes the year is flyyyinnnng by, De La Doggies- the dog walking part, merged with Dog Day LA! So tight. Dan, who owns and operates DDL is awesome! Cool dude originally from Baltimore who is familiar with the dog walking biz from running thangs in Baltimore for some years. The DDL pack also comes with 3 rad dogs (pic below) and 1 black cat, not pictured, and an awesome human female who keeps errebody in check! :)
So what this means for myself and him is that we can cover more areas and dogs throughout the week, we can give each other time off, and basically just have each others back when the situation is needed! Good to have homies that have your back in a crazy big city like downtown la- I am super grateful and appreciative of what we build so far and having going on!
So if you see us on the mean streets of DTLA strutting bitches- Holllller!!
This is Princess. She lives in Chinatown and is one of the sweetest lil bitches around. She does not care for other dogs and will get chola real quick. THUG LIFE. but she listens well and is top notch in my book!
How is it almost the middle of the year?? #justsayin.
Time to get things done!!! dannnng
I rescued BIllie last Sunday, April 12th from the South LA Shelter.
Deciding to finally foster a senior after I had to put down Cheri last summer was something I really wanted to do- but it never was the "right" time- so after a quick trip to see my family in the bay area I decided when I came back it would be a good time.
When I rescued her and took her home I genuinely felt like we saved each other. Sometimes being alone in such a big city like LA, can be sad and lonely- but thats life. Ridin that wave bro. journey.
So ya, here I am a week later and now Billie Holiday (named after the late artist because I listen to her Pandora station all day and her cds in my car when I drive) #lifestyles - is sick and in the hospital. such a fukin tragedy. We can only hope for the best.
I created a gofundme page to help raise monies for her hefty medical bill which A Purposeful Rescue is helping with too.
Please send your healing energy for our baby gurl Billie!
Miss LoLa is one of my favorite mammals that I only walk a few times a year- but dang she fine.
All these doggies are ready to be adopted. If interested in anyone in particular please message me. Their kennel # is below their picture for reference.
As many of you may know, most animal shelters in LA are high kill so the more dogs that are adopted and rescued the more room there is for other dogs to come in. It's a numbers game unfortunately :( Please help by sharing this post and ADOPTING from your local shelter!
Earz for dayz.
My buddy went night night last night. Crazy how one day your kickin it marking trees and the next no longer. life is a trip-dogs are everything. xo
